Gameday Men's Health Clinic Completes Construction

12/4/2024

Following nearly a month of architectural work and three months of construction, the Gameday Men's Health Clinic located on Pelham Parkway in Pelham, Alabama, is now complete. The renovation covered roughly 2,000 square feet of the pre-existing structure, which included updates to the HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Additionally, on-site assessments were conducted to confirm the conditions present.

The design team faced the challenge of fulfilling the client's requirements while adhering to state regulations and Gameday Men's Health's standards. Consequently, the clinic features a waiting area, five clinical offices, a laboratory, two restrooms, and a consultation/business office. Emphasis was placed on ensuring patient and laboratory privacy, including the soundproofing of walls. The selection of colors, logos, flooring, and murals was carefully chosen to align with the Gameday Men's Health brand identity.

We are proud to have worked with the Alabama Historical Commission on a site-wide renovation of the Confederate Memorial Park in Marbury, Alabama.

The historic nature of this site called for the use of period accurate solutions to repair the century-old structures of the park. The use of 5v crimp metal roofing of as seen in historical documentation for buildings, like the Church, was a major focus in our goal to improve the authenticity of the park, compared to the modern corrugated steel roofing previously in use. The replacement of the Library’s windows to wooden, double-hung operable openings was a massive improvement to both the functionality and historical detailing of the building. Various repairs and improvements to other areas of the site, such as to the Post Office, Reservoir Building, and Pavilion space, also followed the same precedent to improve both the historian’s and the casual visitor’s experience at the park.

Our work with the Historical Commission has made the Confederate Memorial Park appear closer to its past than it ever has, and we are proud to have helped craft such an authentic historical experience.

The team has made significant progress in the renovations at the Confederate Memorial Park and are approximately half-way through the project.
